It was on a cool evening in December and birthday bells were chiming. Everyone were taking pictures in turns and it was my turn on the list for the “order” of photography. As I stepped forward to get a “shot”,I heard the celebrant say to me go away you are too tall. It was as though a razor was driven into a balloon, that was a massive blow on me.
I felt embarrassed, why did God have to make me like this?Is this how I will keep living in rejection and ridicule? I carried the hurt everywhere I went, I don’t want this height again,I am too tall, why I am this tall? Trust me when I say God is good,He came through for me as I stumbled on Rick Warren’s book titled “Purpose driven life”.I will share what I learnt from the book concerning this matter.
The first truth you must reckon with, is that God planned you before your parents even conceived you.You should also understand that God chose recommended every detail of your body, your race, skin and every other of your characteristics. It was not by chance.
Psa 139:15(MSG): You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
God is good and very organized, He does not believe in crash program so He plans before time
Psa 139:16(MSG) You saw me before I was born and scheduled
each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded
in your Book!”
What engineered our making by God was His love
Eph1:4b (MSG) ……he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love.
God values and loves you, this you must always remember
James 1:18(NCV) God decided to give us life through the word of truth so we might be the most important of all the things he made.
But I don’t understand myself, what can I do?Yes,you do not have the ability to understand yourself. No product know itself than its maker,God knows you and you can only find purpose in Him.
Rom 12:3(MSG) “The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us.”
